Boina y funda para procesador de alimentos ::: Beret and food processor cover

Parece que últimamente me ha dado por hacer fundas para todo jeje. Nuestra batidora ha pasado a mejor vida y hemos comprado uno de esos procesadores de alimentos. El almacenamiento está bien pensado porque todos los elementos se apilan pero me preocupaba que cogiera polvo. Os presento a nuestro nuevo cacharro:

It seems that I have been making plenty of covers lately lol. Our blender has passed away and we bought one of those food processors. The storage is well thought out because all the elements are stacked up but I was worried about the dust. Say hello to our new kitchen gadget:

Creo que fue en noviembre cuando empecé la boina de la revista Simply Crochet. No sé qué me pasa pero siempre me acabo peleando con las instrucciones de la revista y acabo las cosas a mi manera. Así que he hecho la boina más grande de lo que venía y también he tenido que hacer algunos cambios para que se viera la estrella bien abierta. La idea es fácil de reproducir: tejer una flor o estrella en redondo, unir los pétalos o picos con cadetenas y seguir trabajando en redondo para hacer la boina.

Este fin de semana he descubierto Dunelm Mill con su sección de telas y ya tengo otras cosas en mente.

I think it was in November when I started the lacy beret from Simply Crochet magazine. I do not know what's wrong with me but I always get confused with the instructions of the magazine and just finish things my way. So I made the beret bigger and I also had to make some changes so the star can be seen wide open. The idea is easy: crochet a flower or star in rounds, join the petals or spikes with chains and continue working in rounds to make the beret.

This weekend I discovered Dunelm Mill with their fabric section and I already have other things in mind.

Funda para caja de pañuelos ::: Tissue box cover

Este fin de semana nos hemos quedado tranquilitos en casa, que de vez en cuando viene bien. Hemos aprovechado para hacer un poco de DIY, una funda para la caja de pañuelos y pan.

Tenía una tela superchula de Hobbycraft que compré sin ningún proyecto en mente y ha quedado genial para la funda. Quiero hacer otra y ya veremos si no repito tela.

This weekend we have stayed in enjoying a quiet time, which feels good every now and then. We have managed to do a little DIY, a tissue box cover and bread.

I had a gourgeous fabric from Hobbycraft which I bought with no project in mind and has been great for the cover. I want to make another one and we'll see if I repeat fabric.

 

Y no puede ser más fácil. Toma como la base la caja de la marca de pañuelos que uses, corta la base y abre los laterales. Copia el molde en papel y añádele margen de costura, yo he dejado 1 cm en los laterales y unos 3 cm en la base para el dobladillo. Cose los laterales y la abertura para los pañuelos. Yo he hecho la abertura rectangular porque me parecía más sencillo. He abierto el rectángulo, cortado un piquete en cada esquina y lo he vuelto como si fuera un dobladillo.

It can not be easier. Take as the pattern the box of the tissue brand you use, cut open the base and sides. Copy the template on paper and add seam allowance, I left 1 cm on the sides and about 3 cm at the base for the hem. Sew the sides and opening for the tissues. Un nuevo habitante ::: New housemate

Se llama Toribio y ha sido uno de nuestros regalos navideños. Lo ha tejido la tía de Mariano que es una artista. Los ha hecho para colaborar con Bonagent, asociación sin ánimo de lucro cuya misión es mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con discapacidad intelectual y sus familias. His name is Toribio and he was one of our Christmas presents. He has been crocheted by Mariano's aunt, such a talented woman. She made them to collaborate with Bonagent, nonprofit association whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. He hecho unas cosillas de regalo. La primera es un bolso de patchwork con el kit que compré en The Creative Craft Show en Manchester. El asa de piel la compré online en bags-claps.

I have made a few things for Christmas. The first one is the bag from the patchwork kit bought at The Creative Craft Show in Manchester. I bought the leather bag handle online from bags-claps.

Con más detalle, tiene 4 bloques de aplicaciones, 2 de nine patch y pieceo.

In detail, it is made from 4 appliqué blocks, 2 nine patch ones and piecing.

Tengo unas compañera de trabajo muy apañadas y quería tener un detallito con ellas, así que les he hecho unos broches.

My workmates are lovely and I wanted to thank them with a little present, so I have made some brooches.

Calendario de adviento australiano ::: Australian advent calendar

He vuelto cargadita de telas, revistas y cosas varias de Australia. Cuando en una de las revistas vi este panel de koalas no me pude resistir y me dije que no me volvía sin él. Lo encontré en Melbourne, en Clegs, se llama Australian Bush Xmas de Leutenegger.

I came back from Australia with loads of fabrics, magazines and various things. When I saw this koala panel in one of the magazines I could not resist it and I told myself that I would not return without it. I found it in Melbourne in Clegs, it is called Australian Bush Xmas by Leutenegger.

Es una monada! Al día siguiente de llegar, jet lag incluído, me puse manos a la obra para empezarlo el día 1 como toca. Y ya está plantado en el salón.

It is so cute! I had my sewing machine set on the very next day after we arrived, jet lag included, as I wanted to have it ready just in time. Now it is placed in our living room.

Por último quería enseñaros la orgía de koalas que teníamos en la maleta jeje. Los peluchitos para las sobrinas que van a llegar para navidades.

Mi primera falda ::: My first skirt

Terminó mi curso de costura del college y con él mi segundo proyecto, una falda. De líneas casi rectas, con dos pinzas traseras y cremallera. El patrón es de Simplicity comprado en Amazon.

My dressmaking course is finished and with it my second project, a skirt. Nearly straight lines, with two back darts and zip. The pattern is from Simplicity purchased on Amazon.

La tela vaquera la compré en mi mercadillo local por 2 euros. Está un poco arrugada del viaje.

I bought the denim fabric at my local flea market for 2 euros. It is quite wrinkled from the travel.

Aquí se ve la cremallera exterior, la compré en un pack en Etsy en esta tienda que os recomiendo, tiene cosas monísimas a muy buen precio.

Here is the exterior zipper, I bought it a pack in this shop on Etsy which I strongly recommend, it has the cutest things at a great price.
